An Act of Kindness - Bastille
This wasn't on my radar at all until last year when I was looking for a piece of music to go behind an Easter chalk drawing... A petition to the Hive-Mind of Facebook brought this song to my attention.
(It was the perfect piece, as long as I removed the bridge about feeling guilty...)
Here's the video I edited together:

The Garden - Take That
With this song, Paul has related some of the lines to what he knows of Jesus' story in the Bible. That can't just be a coincidence.
Before you click "Read More", have a listen to the song and then check to see if you note the same bits as Paul does... Did you get more than him? No cheating now!

Salt of the Earth - Wildwood Kin
On a roll today... Or at least playing catch-up with the ear-worms that shouted at me through ot all this week.
I have been a Radio 2 man ever since Moyles and Co left Radio 1. I love it because I get a mox of the good new stuff, the classic tracks I can sing along to, and the random other genres I wouldn't otherwise seek out. This one is definitely on of the latter!
Crazy Fool - Jack Savoretti
If youve read my post "Black Dog" this week, then you might have just smiled a little. That's ok. I forgive you.
This song was playing in Wilko (other shops are available) when I called in on my snowy walk and I Shazamed it so I would remember.
This is part of the "Rediscovering God" step.
Listen and read the lyrics below. Let yourself ask the questions Jack asks of God... Maybe, if you're brave enough, you could spend some time in silence listening for a reply...
If you'd rather listen and come to your own conclusions about the eclectic mix of songs I worked through in Lent 2023, here's the Spotify Playlist!
